The moment the exhibition doors opened on the morning of April 13, the energy inside the Shanghai Exhibition Centre was unmistakable. Buyers, brand directors, designers, and procurement managers from across Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the Americas streamed through the halls — all united by a singular pursuit: packaging that commands attention and communicates value before the product is even touched.

For GPLPAK, this was more than a promotional exercise. It was an opportunity to bring our 20-plus years of craftsmanship directly into dialogue with the market we serve. Our team, led by Sales Director Cherry, presented a curated selection of our finest custom paper packaging across categories including luxury beverages and spirits, skincare and cosmetics, chocolates and confectionery, high fashion, and premium gifting.

From Belgium, with Vision: How a Single Box Opened a Conversation

One of the most memorable interactions of the two-day exhibition came from an unexpected but deeply fitting source: Steve, a fragrance brand founder from Belgium, who had travelled to LUXE PACK Shanghai specifically to find packaging that could match the sensory ambition of his perfume line.

Steve had seen a great deal of packaging that day, but the LED box gave him pause. He spent several minutes at the display, examining the construction, the hinge mechanism, the quality of the magnetic closure, and the light distribution. His conclusion was direct: this was the kind of unboxing theatre that a niche perfume brand needed to justify its positioning in the premium market.

He placed a sample order on the spot, requesting a customised configuration with specific interior dimensions for his signature fragrance bottle, a deep navy exterior with gold foil debossing, ivory silk interior lining, and a warm 2700K LED temperature. Sales Director Cherry worked through the specifications with him in detail, discussing structural options, lead times, and the sampling process.

Steve indicated that should the sample meet expectations — and given our quality standards, we are confident it will — he intends to proceed with a trial order of 10,000 units for his upcoming fragrance launch.
